Overview
New cementitious material Magnesium Potassium Phosphate Cement (Magnesium Potassium Phosphate Cement, MKPC)
MKPC has the characteristics of fast setting and hardening, high bonding strength, high early strength and good durability.
The micro-expansion characteristics of MKPC during the hydration process can effectively reduce the shrinkage rate and prevent the cracking of the MKPC hardened paste. At the same time, the thermal expansion coefficient of MKPC is close to that of ordinary concrete, and it has good compatibility with the concrete interface after repair.
Western countries mainly apply it to the repair of engineering buildings and some military projects.
MKPC is generally an environment-friendly cementitious material formed by mixing admixtures such as magnesium oxide (MgO), potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KH2PO4) and retarder in a certain proportion to undergo an acid-base neutralization reaction.
Advantage
MKPC has the advantages of early strength and fast hardening, high bonding strength, acid corrosion resistance, frost resistance and high temperature resistance, and is suitable for rapid repair, curing harmful and radioactive nuclear waste and other fields.
Shortcoming
MKPC has performance defects such as large hydration heat release and poor water resistance.
